February Reading Recap

I did a bit of reading in February, although I feel like I spent much of the month in the doctor’s office! I have been reading much more than I was the previous months, so I hope to keep that pace moving up. I have lots of great books I’m eager to get to.

For nonfiction reading in February, I managed to finish four books, two medical books related… Continue reading

Reading Recap 2009

I finished out the year with reading just over 50 books. That may sound like a lot to you, but it’s a pretty pitiful showing for me. I’m blaming it on being sick, some vision troubles (happily corrected now!) and a packed schedule. (But I might have been a bit lazy, too!)

I also did far more studying this year than ever before so that took a bit of… Continue reading

October Reading Recap

Another month has come to a close and it’s time to see what you’ve been reading.

October has been a poor fiction month for me, as I only read 1 fiction title, The Maze of Bones. This was a young readers book and the first in the 39 Clues series. It was fun and had some great themes about family, loyalty and love. I am eager to read the… Continue reading

Reading Recap for September

I’m a bit late with this, but it’s never too late to talk about a good book!

My September reading was very slight in comparison to other months because there were so many other things to do last month. September was quite busy for me and reading took a back seat for the most part.

I did read four books in total last month. One of the was… Continue reading

August Reading Recap

So now we come to the monthly recap of what you – and I – have been reading.

August has been a smash of a reading month for me. I think I’ve read more books in August than any other month this year. The other awesome thing about my list this month is how much fiction is on it! It’s about time I got back in the fiction groove… Continue reading

July Reading Post: What are you reading this summer?

Okay, ladies – it’s time to update us on what you’re reading so far this summer.

In July, I read six books – two fiction and four nonfiction.

One particularly good nonfiction book I read was Less Clutter, Less Noise” and dealt with church communications. I enjoyed reading a book from someone who understood part of my job and felt my pain! :-)   She gave a lot of… Continue reading

June Reading Recap

I read six books in June, equally divided between fiction and nonfiction.

On the nonfiction side, I read Seeing Through the Lies, Awaken the Leader Within You, and The Mind of God. The last book being my favorite. It was a small book but packed with good thought on developing a Biblical worldview and way of thinking. I can’t recommend it enough.

On my fiction list, was the… Continue reading

May Books (A bit late!)

Yes, dear reader, I realize it is now a week into June, but I didn’t want to let the opportunity pass to find out what you’ve been reading lately. So here’s your chance to chime in and give us a recap of your reading for the month of May.

I only read one book in May, although I read parts of a lot of books to do my Sunday… Continue reading

April Book Update – What Are You Reading?

bookshelfI thought it would be fun to check in at the end of each month and see what books you have read for the month. I don’t know if you keep a log of the books you read, but I think there’s some value in keeping a list. Plus, I love lists!

So, update us in the comments with… Continue reading
